How to improve self image and self esteem?

I recently had crowns replaced on my front teeth and to me they look like they protrude. I am very self conscious about them when I smile or talk, but everyone says that they look really nice and do not stick out. I am having a very hard time believing they look fine, because what I see in the mirror is ugly. It's just hard to get used to the new look. I don't know if its all in my mind or if it's true. But so far everyone has been very encouraging and supportive. Can anyone suggest what I can do to improve my self image as I do not want to keep disliking my teeth. I have a job interview next week and I am very worried I do badly in the group interview if I get conscious with the other people due to my poor self image .
You got what psychiatrists call body dysmorphic disorder BDD .you are over concerned with how you look. You think something is wrong with your appearance, body but in fact its completely ok by other people.

You need time to get used to them. My dad has crowns on his front teeth and they look great - I bet you do too. Concentrate on what you like about yourself and don't focus on things you're not so keen on.
